Share Market Holiday: Today’s holiday is the first holiday of stock markets in November.

Both BSE and NSE stock market indices will remain closed on Monday, November 7, the first day of the trading week. Guru Nanak Jayanti is being celebrated across the country today due to which markets are closed today. Equity sector, equity derivatives sector and currency trading including SLB sector will also remain closed today.

This month, there will be a holiday in the stock market again on 27th November on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti. There will be a holiday on 25th December next month.

The stock market will remain closed on the occasion of Balipratipada. BSE-NSE will remain closed today. There will be no trading in the equity segment, equity derivatives segment and SLB segment. The currency derivatives market is also closed for trading today.
(What is Balipratipada: Balipratipada or Bali Padyami is celebrated on the fourth day of Diwali. This day celebrates the return of the king to the world and the victory of Lord Vishnu over the demon-king Bali in Vamana avatar.

The stock markets will open for investors and traders tomorrow i.e. Tuesday 28th November at their regular time of 9:15 am. This is the second day in November that the market is closed. Earlier, the stock market was closed on November 14 due to Diwali-Balipratipada.

On the last trading day i.e. Friday 24th November, the market closed with a slight decline. The Sensex closed at 65,970.04, down 47.77 points or 0.07 per cent, while the Nifty 50 closed at 19,794.70, down 7.30 points or 0.04 per cent.
