PM Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’: PM Modi pays tribute to martyrs of 26/11 attacks, praises Surat-Ambaji clean-up campaign

In ‘Mann Ki Baat’, PM Modi said, “The deadliest terrorist attack on the country took place on this day itself. This is the strength of India that now we are also crushing terror. I pay tribute to all those who lost their lives in the Mumbai attacks. Today, the country is remembering our Jabanz who were martyred in this attack.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the country can never forget the terrorist attack of 26 November and it is India’s capability that after recovering from the attack, it is busy in eliminating terrorism. PM Modi, while addressing the countrymen in his monthly radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on Sunday, first mentioned the Mumbai terrorist attack.

He paid tribute to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country while fighting this attack and said that the entire country is remembering them today. As soon as the Prime Minister started the program, he said that today is 26th November and India can never forget it.

He said, “Today is 26th November and we can never forget this day. On this day, the most heinous terrorist attack took place in the country. The terrorists had shaken Mumbai and the entire country. But it is India’s strength that we recovered from that attack and are now crushing terrorism with full courage. I pay tribute to all those who lost their lives in the Mumbai attacks. Today the country is remembering our brave men who sacrificed their lives in this attack.”


It is noteworthy that the terrorists who came by sea from the Pakistan border had carried out a terrorist attack in Mumbai on the night of 26 November 2008. About 150 people were killed and about 300 were injured in this attack. Indian security forces had killed nine terrorists and captured one terrorist alive
